Instagram Rolling out Call-to-Action Stickers for Gift Cards and Delivery

By: Jordan Laneve    April 29, 2020

Advertisers can now use Instagram to promote gift card purchases and delivery in their Stories in an effort to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stickers are available from the sticker tray and advertisers can select to promote either gift card purchase or food orders. All gift card and food delivery transactions will be fulfilled by a third party. Instagram’s select partners include DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and several more. Only one sticker can be promoted per Story; however, advertisers can release consecutive Stories, each with a different featured delivery partner.

In addition to stickers, businesses can now add a button on their profile page promoting gift card purchases and food delivery orders. The profile buttons work the same as stickers. Both stickers and profile buttons require an Instagram Business or Creator Account.

“In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and people around the world are facing a new reality. To help small businesses during this challenging time, we are introducing new ways for people to support them by discovering their gift cards, food order options, and fundraisers on Instagram.” – Instagram
